Meet Our Members: Thad Politte

meet our membersThad Politte joined our Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS club in 2017, and here in 2018, he is already serving as the club’s new Sargeant-at-Arms.
When asked why he joined, Thad said, ” I have lived in Lubbock my entire life, and the community has done so much for me. I believe in my community and the people who live in it; and I wanted an opportunity to get more deeply involved and ‘give back’.”
He says he wants to make an already fantastic place even better for his own children and their generation. And, speaking of family and kids, Thad shared that he’s been married to his wife, Megan, for 10 years; has two daughters, Presley and Saylor; and then adds, “We don’t have a family pet, yet…but I’m working on it.”
Thad works at Hayes Motor Company, and says that his job is to “Find the perfect vehicle to fit a customer’s lifestyle”, and when asked to share an interesting fact about himself, Thad said, “I’m a licensed Texas peace officer, and I have the utmost respect for the men and women who risk their lives to protect ours.” And I know we’d all say back to Thad, “Thanks for your doing the same thing for all of us!”
Thad said that there’s nothing better than spending time with his two daughters. “They teach me so much, and getting to watch them grow and learn about the world around them is a privilege.”
Thad’s goal in life is simple: “Every day, I want to be a better husband, father, and person than the day before! “
