AMTRYKE RECIPIENT: Veterans Don Dillard and Shirrell Bond

At the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS luncheon meeting, on June 26, 2023, two veterans received their very own therapeutic AMTRYKES. Don Dillard (L) served in the Air Force and his TP-3000 Tadpole Foot AMTRYKE was sponsored by the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS. Shirrell Bond (R) served as a Marine and his TP-3000 Tadpole Foot AMTRYKE was sponsored by PAVECON. Behind Don, is his wife Nadeen. To the left of Shirrell is his wife, Deborah. Rest of the people in the photo are President Kadee Harcrow, and some of the AMTRYKE COMMITTEE MEMBERS, Bobby Sanders, Hugh Lankford, Anthony Brocato, and Jim Anderson.

Don and Shirrell were so excited receiving their AMTRYKES and each expressed their appreciation to the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS and to PAVECON. These Veterans are so deserving of their therapeutic AMTRYKES as their AMTRYKES were adapted their abilities to allow them to increase muscular strength, increase coordination, while being able to socialize with their family and friends in a fun activity. Chris Riggs, DPT at the Lubbock VA Clinic, was instrumental in making these referrals to Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS.

Their AMTRYKES were given free of charge, and this was made possible by our sponsors, members, donations and fundraiser event. As you can see, it takes many people for an AMTRYKE recipient to receive their much-needed therapeutic AMTRYKE.
