The Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS meets every Monday (except holidays) at the Mckenzie/Merkett Alumni Center on the Texas Tech University campus from noon-1pm. See the upcoming meeting schedule on our homepage.
In addition to a great meal and great fellowship, we have highly informative presentations about all kinds of things happening in the Lubbock area, as well as occasional club meetings during our big yearly fundraiser.
Historically, our longest running fundraiser was the South Plains Fair. In May, 2021 it was decided to no longer have this as a fundraiser. Now, our major fundraiser is our SummerFest Event. Our SummerFest Event provides fellowship and fun under the West Texas Sky. We also have quarterly socials which include members and spouses.
Should you desire to become a Member of our club and support our Mission of Providing Independence for People with Disabilities, it’s really simple – just come visit us this next Monday at FREE lunch and receive a Membership Packet with all the info you’ll need, including an Application you can fill out right there and leave with us, or send it in later. Also, you can go to the bottom of the page, look for the Membership Packet listing and click on it. You will be able to print off information about our club, dues, etc., should you want to see it prior to your coming to a luncheon meeting. This is just like the one you would receive in person.
Our dues are relatively inexpensive at $60.00 per month – which covers your National Dues and your weekly lunches. Many of our Members have their dues covered by their employers who are anxious for them to have a community involvement.
So, put us on your calendar, and we’ll look forward to welcoming you soon!
