Meet Our Members: Jim McConnell

meet our members news

Jim McConnell stated he was a member of Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS years ago. As we all know, life can become busy, and Jim decided he needed more time. Well, Jim is now retired and decided to become an active member again! During a Monday meeting, 03/27/2023, Jim was sworn in as an active member. His sponsor was Bill Wrench.

The reason for rejoining Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS, Jim always enjoyed the fellowship and service to the community and states he is looking forward to becoming involved! This is certainly the club to get involved with for both fellowship and service to the community!

Jim retired from the oil field and was an industrial arts instructor, at Levelland ISD - Middle School. He was married to his first wife for 52 years, whom he loved very much. Remarried another wonderful lady, Marje. He has 3 grown children, and 10 grandchildren from the two marriages (5 + 5). Some of his favorite pastimes involved wood working, fishing, hunting, and church.

We are so grateful to have Jim McConnell as a member of our Monterey AMBUCS Team, and whether you're a long-time Lubbock resident or a newcomer, if you too would like to learn more about our mission and see about joining our Team, just JOIN US at one of our regular Monday Lunches at the McKenzie/Merket Alumni Center on the Tech Campus. You'll be glad you did!
