amtryke recipients people weve helped

Cooper Drake received his own AMTRYKE at the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS luncheon meeting on 05/01/2023. Cooper has been looking forward to getting his own AMTRYKE as his journey started back in August of 2022, when he was diagnosed with leukemia/ALL. During his treatment, he took certain medications which caused his muscles to atrophy. Amber Williams, Physical Therapist, at UMC Team Rehab: Neuro and Pediatric Center, addressed his physical ability by working on increasing his muscular strength and stamina. Amber referred Cooper to the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS for an AMTRYKE!

Cooper is a sweet 8-year-old, young man, who wanted an AMTRYKE so he could ride with his family and friends. AMTRYKES are a therapeutic tryke and provide a fun-filled way for socialization with family and friends while increasing muscular strength, endurance, and coordination. Once Cooper was given his AMTRYKE at the luncheon meeting, he rode his tryke all around the room and had the biggest smile. We are so excited for him to receive his very own AMTRYKE!

This AMTRYKE was given to Cooper free of charge. This was made possible due to our sponsors, members, donations, and fundraiser event. As you can see, it takes many people for a recipient to receive their much-needed therapeutic tryke. To become involved in the Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS, you can DONATE NOW or become a SPONSOR. Come on out and JOIN US at our luncheon meetings and see what we are all about. We are the Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS: Proud of our past...Engaged in our present...and, excited about our future. As it was in 1960...and as it still is today...We Stand Shoulders Together!!
