AmTryke Recipient: Janan Diver

Janan Diver recently attended one of our Monday Lunches to receive her new AmTryke. She was joined by her sister, Leshay Evert and her therapist from UMCs South Plains Rehab, Heather Beaugh. Also pictured below is club member, Gary McDonald, who chairs our Ambility Committee, and has the fun of handing out the AmTrykes our club gives for FREE to qualifying recipients.

Heather said of Janan on her evaluation form, “She’s a young strong survivor with young grandchildren and a teenage son at home.” Heather says Janan works hard at therapy and uses a manual wheel chair at home for mobility, but has no option other than the wheel chair to be outside and active.

Janan’s goal is to be more active and she is excited about the prospect of having a safe option for mobility in her neighborhood, especially “being able to keep up with the grand kids.”
