Meet our Members: Kim Owens

meet our membersKim Owens originally joined in 1996 and Bob Shattuck was her sponsor. Due to a new job, she took a 20-year hiatus and joined again in December 2021. Her sponsor was Donna Rose Shattuck.
When asked why she joined Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS, Kim stated she loved what AMBUCS stood for...helping children and adults with disabilities. It is a beautiful thing and warms one's heart.
Approximately 40 years ago, Kim and her husband started a taxidermy business. She actually worked in the taxidermy business for about 17 years. In 1976 she also worked at KCBD as a receptionist and returned to sales at KCBD in 2000. She has been selling advertising since that time.
Her favorite pastimes include reading, spending time at the ranch, and being with family and friends. She also enjoys cooking!
Kim and her husband, Danny, were married on May 1, 1977, have 2 children - Michelle and Jared. Kim and Danny have been blessed with 4 grandchildren. Jared and his wife, Kristi are expecting their third child in April of 2023.
