amtryke recipients people weve helped

At the May 22, 2023, Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS luncheon meeting, two veterans received their new 21 speed gear TP-3000 Tadpole foot therapeutic AMTRYKE tricycle. The veteran recipients were Eddie Love and Felipe Ybarra. In the photo below, Eddie Love is on the left and Felipe Ybarra is on the right.

Eddie Love sustained a knee injury in Thailand during his service in the Air Force. Over time, he developed bilateral osteoarthritis in his knees and developed pain. His physical therapist at the Lubbock VA Clinic recommended Eddie for the TP-3000 therapeutic AMTRYKE to exercise his knees to decrease his pain. Eddie was also sponsored by the VFW Post 2466 (Lubbock) and they furnished the funds so Eddie could have his AMTRYKE at no cost. In addition, Eddie was so moved about his new TP-3000, he chose to give a donation back to the Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS to go towards an AMTRYKE for someone else.

Thank you, Eddie for your donation. Know it will be used toward another AMTRYKE so another person can have their own therapeutic AMTRYKE.

Our second recipient was Felipe Ybarra. Felipe served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He was referred by the Lubbock VA Clinic physical therapist, because of his reduced mobility. The TP-3000 AMTRYKE was recommended as it provides range mobility and assist in improving and maintaining a person's mobility range. His AMTRYKE was sponsored by the Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS at no cost to him.

AMTRYKES were given to each recipient free of charge. This was made possible due to our sponsors, members, donations and fundraiser event. As you can see, it takes many people for an AMTRYKE recipient to receive their much-needed therapeutic tryke. To become involved in the Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS, you can DONATE NOW or become a SPONSOR. Come on out and JOIN US at our luncheon meeting and see what we are all about.
