amtryke recipients people weve helpedWe had the absolute joy of presenting Sissy with her very own Amtryke — and her journey makes this moment truly extraordinary. Born at 22 weeks, weighing just 1 pound, Sissy has overcome more challenges in three years than most face in a lifetime. Today, she will climb onto her new Amtryke with confidence and excitement. This tryke will provide the valuable strengthening she needs to support her walking goals and help her engage socially with her peers and siblings — giving her both mobility and connection.
Sissy was on the National AMBUCS Wish List, a program that ensures riders across the country can receive an Amtryke even if they don’t live near a local chapter. With more than 150 AMBUCS chapters in over 35 states, there are still areas without a local presence — and the Wish List bridges that gap so every rider has access to independence and opportunity.
Her Amtryke was made possible through the generous donation of Gandy's Dairy whose support helped turn this moment into reality.
