West Texas Wine Walk

Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS, in partnership with our presenting sponsor, PAVECON, is proud to present the second annual West Texas Wine Walk. All proceeds from this year’s walk will be used to purchase therapeutic bicycles called AmTrykes®.

There are 28 different versions of the AmTryke, specifically designed to meet the needs of children; big and small, adults and our returning veterans. These unique bicycles can be powered with hands, feet or both. The AmTryke's therapeutic benefits include independent mobility, building strength and self-esteem, improving motor coordination and range of motion and social interaction.

Our Goal: $24,000

Meet Our AmTryke Recipients

Azalea Garza

5-year old Azalea Garza underwent therapy for an AVM rupture, which is a rare rupture of blood vessels in the brain. This led to limited use of her left arm and leg. According to her physical therapist, Natalye Thomas, the AmTryke given by Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS should help Azalea build trunk strength and provide a fun way to use her arms and legs while doing therapy.
