David McDonnell joined Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS in 2017, because “A good friend of mine asked me to join.” He said that he wanted to be part of a program that believes in strong Christian values, along with strong community involvement, and added that he “strongly believes in helping the people who are disabled.”
David works at Pavecon as Sales Manager, communicating with customers about specific construction and paving needs. He said that Pavecon is focusing on strong community relationships, while providing quality concrete and paving; and Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS has certainly benefited from that “strong community relationship” with Pavecon’s being our Platinum Sponsor the past two years for our West Texas Wine Walk.
When asked to share an interesting fact about himself, he told us they that he has done three tours with the Marine Corps, and we say, “Thank you David for your service!”
He’s been married for 7 years to his wife Spring, and they have 3 kids, Keely (6 years Old), Brody (4 Years old), and Grayson ( 5 Months old); and he says that “We stay pretty busy just trying to keep up with them and all that they do.”
His favorite things to do are spending time with family, hunting, and golfing; and David says he “eventually wants to retire, buy a boat and a lake house somewhere, and (oh yeah) buy a golf course.”
It is such a privilege to have members like David, who still want to be giving back; even when they have given so much already, and if you’d like to be a part of a group of giving people like that, JOIN US some Monday at our regular luncheon at the McKenzie/Merket Alumni Center on the Tech campus, and find out more about who we are and what we do.
